Frist Art Gala

The Frist Art Museum hosts a themed gala centered around an exhibit every year. The exhibition "Light, Space, Surface" investigates the art of light and space using highly polished surfaces often described as “finish fetish.” I drew inspiration from the materials utilized by Southern California artists in the 1960s and 70s, who created works understanding form, volume, presence, and absence through light.
